It was a pleasant morning with a decent sunshine!!! Ready for Club Inauguration in a college which is 150 k.m far from my place. After 1 hour and 15 minutes of journey, we finally reached college and Thanks to Adil[ Firefox Club Lead to his college] for great receiving!! Soon later we had discussions with Principle and Head Of the Department about the agenda.
The number of participants in the hall are filled completely and they were around 200+ members in the hall. Event started, I started up with Mozilla and its mission and went out upto 25 min and Introduction ended  with a Cray Question by one of the Student in the crowd-"Why Firefox and Why not Chrome" and justified the answer by saying "We do not tract the Users Data"!!!
Soon Later session on Firefox OS is taken up by Harsha which went on for 45 min by showing various videos related to Firefox OS and simple Hello World demo on how to build a Firefox OS applications from scratch!!!
Now the club lead of his college is ready to talk about FSA Program!!!  Adil took this session for 30 min and this session went on interactions. Other Mozillians in the mean while clarified the queries of the participants on Benefits of Contributions and Technical quires.

Inauguration at Malla Reddy Engineering College with Appdays and Maker Party

One week of preparations for this BIG day which contains Inauguration with Appdays and Maker Party [https://etherpad.mozilla.org/MRLClubLaunch] and the day has come like a lighting bolt.

Everything was planned perfectly and we started to the Venue. Here comes a twist, the college people were expecting around 180-200 participants but the magic is we got 650 registrations for the event and interesting part is many students came from other near by colleges and from Other states too[ SRM, VITS, and few more]. We got a grand welcome by 21 volunteers from the college and the Welcome sign was Awesome!!!![ you can see it below. I guess they used 10kg of salt to Welcome us!! :D ]
After a small discussion with the director, we started the event after Traditional Lighting!!! Introduction to Mozilla and Mozilla Mission was handled by Akhilesh, which went on with many interactions from participants and speaker too. Later Different Products in Mozilla was handled my Harsha, were participants showed very interest in Firefox OS. Soon Later, it was my turn and I [Sai Charan Reddy] took up Areas of Contributions in Mozilla and benefits in Contribution to Mozilla. Continuously, I started to explain briefly about Webmaker and it tools!!! Later, Harsha spoke briefly about developing Firefox OS Apps from scratch and We all ended the half days session with many Mozilla Videos!!!
After lunch we had Hands On Sessions!!! They divided people on there interest accordingly, It was 55% showed interest in App Days and 45% took Webmaker. Accordingly we divided among our selves in 3 teams and assembled in three different labs!!! I with help of Akhilesh, Varun and Sai Teja took Webmaker sessions in two halls and Harsha, Akhil and Hitesh were taking App development sessions simultaneously.

As I was in Maker Party sesion, I kick started with teaching basics of HTML and Varun in CSS. Later after an hour of hands on, we moved to to Webmaker tools and explained about the different tools in it. The Very Highlight of the sessions are X-Ray Goggles which made them easy to create webpages in minutes and which made them feel lot easier then coding it from scratch and one more tool they felt interesting is Appmaker, which helped them to create apps in minutes by few clicks on bricks. I can see lots of faces smiling after they used these tools!!! :D

After the second of session we had interactions with participants and in that mean time The College Dean and Principle handed over Momentous to all the Mozillians and FSA's and ended with a group picture.
